The Middle East Minorities Institute (MEMI) is a Washington-based research and policy analysis organization dedicated to advancing understanding of the religious and ethnic minority communities of the Middle East. MEMI was established to address a critical gap in policy discourse: the limited incorporation of minority perspectives and realities into regional analysis and policymaking. MEMI is an independent, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Mission Statement: The Middle East Minorities Institute platforms regional religious and ethnic minority communities through in-depth analysis and policy recommendations, support to community leaders and activists, and non-partisan engagement and dialogue.
