Dilan Adamat

Dilan Adamat was born in Iraq to an Assyrian-Chaldean family and grew up in France. He earned his bachelor’s degree in law and political science from the University of Nantes and later completed a master’s degree in public business law at the University of Paris XII.

Adamat worked in Paris as the development manager at an established law firm, now known as Centaure Avocats, where he worked on advisory and litigation matters spanning public, employment, civil, and criminal law. His role focused on communications, innovation, and project management, while also contributing to legal advisory work.

In 2019, Adamat returned to Iraq and settled in Ankawa, a suburb of Erbil, where he founded a nonprofit: The Return. The organization seeks to facilitate the return of Iraqi Christians from the diaspora who were displaced from their homeland in recent decades. The Return is also registered as a charity in France. In addition to his nonprofit work, Adamat is a freelance consultant, radio presenter, and commentator. He regularly publishes analysis and opinion pieces on the challenges and opportunities facing his community, including through his personal blog.
